Summer Term 2 - The Big Question
Date: 11th Jun 2023 @ 4:37pm
We are really looking forward to our final half term in Y5. Our Big Question is: What do YOU think?
We are learning about the Ancient Greeks and so it is a perfect time for an introduction to philosophy.
Each week in class we also have a new "THUNK" to help develop our skills of thinking and discussion. The more our brains are exercised, the stronger they become!
Date: 11th Jun 2023 @ 4:24pm
Here are some photos of showing some of the things we got up to during Summer Term 1.
Our big question was: Rainforests - essential or desireable.
We began the work by getting to know trees in our grounds. we learnt that if we measured their circumference we could calculate how much carbon they held and how much carbon dioxide they took from the air to help us breathe!
We had lots of fun using stop motion animation to create our own short films.
We also enjoyed working together in groups to design and make a motorised vehicle which we then took to Reception to let them play with.
