The school day at Penwortham Primary School is structured to provide pupils with a calm and positive start, maximising learning time while ensuring children are safe and well supervised.
Doors open to pupils: 8.45am
School day begins: 8.55am
End of the school day: 3.30pm
This provides a total school day of 6 hours and 35 minutes, which meets the Department for Education’s requirements.
Pupils are expected to arrive in school by 8.55am so that learning can begin promptly. Staff are on duty to supervise pupils from the time doors open.
At the end of the day, pupils are dismissed safely to parents, carers, or authorised adults. Please ensure that arrangements for collection are clear and communicated to the school.
