A Warm Welcome!
Welcome to Year 1! We are so excited to be on this learning journey together this year. Our classroom is a warm, supportive, and engaging environment where we encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
This page will be regularly updated with information about our learning, class news, upcoming events, and ways you can support your child at home.
Year 1 Key Information
The school gates will open at 8:45am and registration is at 8:55am. Please ensure your child arrives at school on time.
Reading books will be sent home every day and will need to be returned the following day.
A weekly message will be sent out on class spider updating you on our learning and informing you of the following weeks learning.
Pleasure ensure your child’s uniform is clearly labelled.
No jewellery is to be worn for school.
Children may bring in a water bottle each day.
PE will be on Monday and Forest School is on Thursday. Children will need to come to school in their PE kit on these days.

PE Days: Monday – Please make sure your child wears their PE kit.
Library Day: Friday
Homework Sent Home: Friday
Homework Due: Wednesday
Forest School Day: Thursday - Please make sure your child wears their PE kit & brings Forest School kit.

Reading: Children should read at home daily. Please sign their reading record each night to show that this is happening.
