What have we been up to?

🧙 Become witches and wizards in PE! We learnt how to “fly” around the hall, carefully negotiating the space around us. We even worked together to make a magical potion which turned us all into snakes, slithering across the floor! 🐍✨

🌬️ During Muddy Monday, we created fantastic blow-away pictures of our faces – there were some very wild and windy hairstyles!

🪞 We used mirrors to explore ourselves, looking carefully at our faces, noticing our different features and talking about what makes us unique.

✂️ We talked about our likes, dislikes and preferences, learning that we don’t all have to like the same things. We practised our scissor control and snipping skills to create collages filled with some of our favourite things.

🌈 We went on a colour hunt around Pre-School, spotting and naming all the different colours we could find and talking together about what we noticed.

👂 We put on our brilliant listening ears and went on a listening walk around school. We heard so many different sounds, including children singing, phones ringing, cars driving past and people typing.

🧩 We worked together to complete a giant floor puzzle. Everyone did a fantastic job of waiting for their turn and working together as a team.

🦒 We also met Gerald the Giraffe, who needed a LOT of help learning how we learn and grow in Pre-School! Gerald was rather cheeky and thought it was okay to throw paper, scream and run around. Thankfully, the children were brilliant teachers and helped Gerald understand how we keep ourselves and each other happy and safe. 💛

Alongside all of that, we have made faces with playdough, shared lots of lovely stories, sung our favourite songs and had plenty of time to explore and play together. 🎨📚🎶
