This page will be regularly updated with information about our learning, class news, upcoming events, and ways you can support your child at home.

Times Tables - Need to be learnt 'by heart' for fast recall

Try this link to the Carol Vorderman times tables checks - www.themathsfactor.com/times-tables-check/#/

Times Tables
In Year 4, learning our times tables is very important!

Towards the end of Year 4 all pupils will take the national multiplication tables screening check. It is essential that children practice recalling times tables facts often.

We encourage you to access ttrockstars.com as it will assess and monitor your child's progress and set appropriate targets - little and often (it is reccommended that 5-7 minutesper day is best).

You can also find fun games on websites such as Top Marks and timestables.co.uk to help your child learn them in an interactive way. Please encourage your child to maintain their times tables at home.

PLEASE SEE THE GUIDANCE FOR THE 2022 MULTIPLICATION CHECK ATTACHED.

Spellings
We use Emile spelling in Year 4. This ensures that pupils learn spellings in school - little and often. If you wish to practise spellings at home please ensure that your child can spell correctly all the Year 3 and 4 words in the file below.
