The Preschool Day
Times:
Morning Session: 8.45am Arrival - 11.45am Departure
PM Sessions: 12.30pm Arrival - 3.30pm Departure
Families are welcome to access the school grounds via the 'Meadway' back gate entrance or via the gate onto the playground on Crow Hills Road, where our preschool children will need to make their way over to reception area - the blue railings side of the playground (closer to the field) where they will enter along side the reception children, this will be where they are also collected from school at the end of their day.
Children arriving after their arrival time should enter via the main entrance and will need to be signed in at the school office.
Children should be collected at the designated area for their class promptly. We will only dismiss children to adults with permission to collect them from school.
Penwortham Stars Preschool is closed out of term i.e Bank holidays, Christmas etc. There is no charge for government statutory holidays (Bank holidays/Inset Days etc).

Uniform Requirements
Our preschool children will be as our reception uniform is:
Maroon sweatshirt or cardigan with the school logo
Blue polo shirt with collar
Plain black Jogging bottoms or black leggings (no logos)
Grey, black or white plain coloured socks or tights
Optional embroidered school fleece.
Black trainers (unbranded)
Please provide a pair of outdoor boots/wellies to be kept at Pre School.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING ARE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME.
Please ensure that all children have a named bag with 1 spare set of clothes and that all garments are clearly named.
Sweets and toys are not allowed into Pre School.
Articles left at Pre School are at the owner’s own risk.
Earrings must NOT be worn for Pre School.
Lunch Information
Lunch Sessions: 11.45am - 12.30pm
Lunch costs: £2.50 per meal
Snack costs (AM/PM): 50pence per snack (£1 per day)
During the first week in school may we ask that packed lunches are provided initially in order for the children and the school settle into this routine.
During this first week we can then provide you with further information in regard to lunch time ordering and payment information as this will differ to what the school currently has in place.
Wrap Around Care
We currently offer a private Preschool breakfast care club that operates from 7:45am - 8:45am and is led by highly trained staff. A perfect Preschool start to the day.
