We have been out to check on the bulbs this week and they are growing! Hurray!
We could just see little green shoots coming up where we planted the bulbs under the ground.

We have been learning all about the properties of 2D and 3D shapes this week! We have had fun in and out of school making and sorting shapes!

This afternoon, Year 2 had great fun making their smoothies!
First they had to plan their recipe, prepare their fruit, measure their liquid and then whizz is all together in the blender.
Finally they had to taste them in the smoothie cafe!
We had great fun!

During the last week of Autumn term 1, we had a class pumpkin designing competition.
As you can see it was very hard to judge and Mrs Hesketh was called in to make the final decision.

Year 2 have enjoyed their work on photography. We have taken lots of great photos and now have compiled them into portfolios using the app Pic Collage.

This afternoon, Year 2 had some first aid training along with over 150 other classes around the North West!
We heard from a real-life paramedic who talked to us about what we can do to help in an emergency.
We know we need need to ring 999 when we think it is a big accident and need help from the Ambulance service, Police, Fire and rescue service or the coastguard.

Over the past few weeks Year 2 have been learning about plants and how they grow.
Today we have been busy in the outdoor area! We have planted mystery bulbs in the car park but will have to wait until Spring to see what they turn out to be!
We have also experimented by planting conkers and acorns to see if we can generate a new forest!
