The supermarket came to Year 2's classroom today during our Computing lesson! We had to scan the code to find the item's identity and price!

Year 2 enjoyed getting musical with their glockenspiels! They had to compose their own melody to play along with their new song.

Year 2 were investigating to find the differences between seeds and bulbs.
We found out lots of differences and not just about what they looked like on the outside!

Year 2 have been developing their skills for sprinting.
The best techniques are to run on the balls on our feet, use high knees, use our bent arms and use big strides.

Here are some videos of our fantastic year 5 brass band playing their concert this morning! All the children did so so well and tried their best. They have come so far in their musical ability and we believe this shows in their playing. Very well done Year 5 and a big thank you to Miss Greg!

We found an hour of sunshine to play rounders in this week. We looked at bowling underarm, bowling accuracy through hoops and played a game of catches and runs.

Year 6 had a great trip to the council chambers this week - there were definitely some contenders for future councillors and MPs! We also had a chance to visit the football museum and the archives, where we were lucky enough to see the oldest piece of text they hold - over 900 years old!

After reading the 'Hodgeheg' by Dick King-Smith, we wanted to help local animals find safe places to cross. So we designed posters to remind cars to slow down and look out for duck families or hedgehogs crossing around our local area.
We enjoyed a walk around the area putting our posters in pride of place!

We had a super time experimenting which solids dissolve in water and whihc ones don't. We tried salt, hot chocolate, rice, sand, wood shavings and sugar.

On Monday, we had visitors for our Road 2 Paris festival day who introduced us to some Olympic and Paralympic sports.We had lots of fun trying all of the sports and are now really looking forward to the Olympics this Summer!
