Story Competition

During the Covid19 pandemic we wrote stories for residents of Hardwick Grange retirement village.

Sophie, aged 10, was the winner of the competition whilst Ronnie, aged 5, and Oscar, aged 8, were runners-up.

Deborah Bond, marketing executive at McCarthy Stone, said: “The enthusiasm and confidence from the children in telling their stories has been great fun to witness.

"We thoroughly enjoyed reading through them all, and although it took us a long time, every single one of them was a delight.

"We have some very talented writers in Penwortham and it was hard to pick just one winner.
