FREE SCHOOL MEALS AND PUPIL PREMIUM
Currently all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to free school meals.
If you get any of the benefits listed in the form below we can get extra funding, called pupil premium. This is used in schools to help fund additional staff to assist in reducing the attainment gap between the child and their peers, through additional groups or 121 interventions. Due to restricted school budgets this funding makes a big difference to what we are able to offer children. Information about which children are eligible for free school meals is held in confidence.
If your child is eligible for free school meals, they will continue to be receive free school meals from Year 3 and up to finishing the primary school phase. You don’t need to apply each year. To apply for free school meals please complete the form available on the Lancashire County Council website –
Or if you wish please complete and return the attached form and we can process your claim on your behalf
Update on School Meals September 2020
Our Catering Team are working very hard to provide Packed Lunches and a variety of Hot Grab and Go bags for our children. Our School Meal offer, alongside the Risk Assessment for our Kitchen, will be reviewed at the end of September.
The children are selecting their meal choice each morning. The weekly menu will be available here this week, so that you can discuss the options available at home.
