The school encourages open communication between home and school and issues regular newsletters to parents, detailing events and particulars concerning school. These events are also communicated through this website.
May we take this opportunity to thank everyone for the faithful support, interest and encouragement given to the school. We aim to build on the links already established in our community, and, with your help, make our school a place of which we can all be justifiably proud.
We are always grateful to those parents who come in to school and help. Don’t be shy! If you have some time to spare or a particular talent or area of expertise then we would love to hear from you.
Currently parent helpers are involved in supporting children with reading, helping in practical and creative subjects such as cookery, sewing, art, music and design technology. So if you are free, even for an hour a week, come in and speak to Mrs Curran (Assistant Head) who organises our parent helpers – she would love to hear from you.
(Prior to commencing your work in school all helpers will be required to have successfully completed a DBS disclosure form which helps us ensure pupils are protected from harm.)
There are three before and after school clubs in the area:
- Kids United
- Kids Co
- School’s out @ St.Teresas
These offer places to pupils from local schools. We also have a good network of childminders who pick up and drop off at school.
We have excellent links with all our local High Schools.
Pupils from Penwortham Primary School attend a wide range of High Schools – we have an excellent partnership with Priory High School and Penwortham Girls High school and we were one of the founder members of the School Sports Coordinator Programme which links together primary and secondary schools through sport.
